The Research Infrastructure Special Interest Group is responsible for:

• Data sharing policies Intellectual property management
• Software pipeline facilitation
• Shared instrumentation (for data acquisition and analysis)
• Future hardware and network resource planning
• Secure funding for basic research (biological and medical research that requires bioinformatics; infrastructure; bioinformatics algorithms and tools)
