OCCBIO 2010 Call for Late-Breaking Poster Abstracts
Late breaking poster presentation abstracts will be accepted until June 4, 2010
We are soliciting 250 word abstracts for 15 min oral presentations or posters in any area of computational biology and bioinformatics, including the following:
- Bioinformatic analysis in:
- agriculture
- biomedicine (human or veterinary)
- bioremediation
- drug discovery
- Biologically-relevant applications of:
- bio-ontologies and biomedical text mining
- combinatorics
- data integration
- data mining, modeling or visualization
- databases
- linguistic methods
- machine learning
- parallel computation
- pattern recognition
- string and graph algorithms
- text analysis
- New developments in:
- evolution and phylogeny
- genomics and metagenomics
- metabolomics
- pathways, networks and systems, including prediction of regulation
- proteomics
- sequence analysis
- structural bioinformatics
- transcriptomics
- Education Workshop:
-Integrating Bioinformatics Skills into the Curriculum
This session will present examples of classroom exercises and
projects that have been successfully used to promote student research
skills in bioinformatics topics.
We strongly encourage submission of abstracts, from the full spectrum
of computational biology, that:
- report novel results in the above or related areas.
- illustrate the application of computational techniques to these
subject areas.
