
The Inaugural Ohio Collaborative Bioinformatics Conference (OCCBIO) was held in Athens, Ohio on June 28-30, 2006. The conference provided an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of approaches, research findings, and experiences in the domain of computational approaches to biology-related problems. The central purpose of the conference was to foster long-term collaborative relationships among informatics and life sciences researchers from academia, government and industry, spanning interests across Ohio.
