Biosketch:
My background has been in computer graphics animation, beginning with a period of employment with Cranston/Csuri Productions, Inc. in the 1980's. At CCP we created animations for clients in the television broadcasting. In 1987, I joined the Ohio Supercomputer Center with a group entitled the Ohio Supercomputer Graphics Project. Our mission was to write a Scientific Visualization application, which eventually would be distributed under the name apE, the Animation Production Environment. apE, version 1.0, in 1987, was one of the first visualizaton toolkits supporting a multi-platform, data-flow model. After working at the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design as a researcher and teacher, I rejoined OSC with the Science and Technology Support group in 2002. My primary function with STS has been to assist  OSC users with any visualization requirements, as well as investigate new visualization  applications.
